Wadiz Crowdfunding
Getting Started Guide
I have an idea, but I'm like, "Can I sell this? Are you thinking about it? It's a burden to make inventory in advance, and if you've been struggling because there's no right way to respond first, start crowdfunding in Wadiz. Funding is a system that allows you to reveal your ideas first before making a product, and meet supporters who support your ideas to secure production costs and first customers together.
If you don't meet the target amount, you don't have to pay for supporters or make a maker's fee, and you don't have to make a product in advance, so you don't have to pay for inventory. So even if it's your first challenge, you can check the market reaction relatively easily. Individuals who are not business operators can also start projects. With this get-together guide, take a quick look at how to reveal an unfinished product or service and raise the funds needed for multiple people who support it!

1. What is crowdfunding?
The Difference Between Wadiz Funding and Regular Shopping
Crowdfunding is a method of disclosing ideas, products, and activities and raising funds needed by several people who support them. Wadiz Funding calls the person who starts the project a maker, and the person who participates in the project and supports it as a supporter. The maker promises rewards such as products and services to supporters, and supporters see the possibility of challenges that have not yet been completed and participate. So funding is closer to the process of realizing new products and services together than regular shopping where you buy finished products right away. Let's compare the timing of participation and how the payment method is different.

2. Can I do it individually?
I misunderstand that funding can only be done by business operators, but in Wadiz, even non-business individuals can start it. Even if there is no finished product, you can challenge it at the idea or prototype stage. The important point is to show the possibility of actually creating and delivering rewards through the story! In addition, Wadiz will be able to unveil projects in two types: funding to showcase new ideas, and preordering to showcase products already on the market with special benefits that can only be found in Wadiz. Can I open the project, too? If you want to check out more, take a closer look at the Wadiz pre-checklist!
3. From project making to final settlement
Step 6 Funding Start Process
Wadiz funding will be carried out in six stages from project preparation to final settlement. At each stage, we will point out what the maker decides and what he receives in order.
STEP 1. Create a project
The maker studio opens a project and fills out the necessary information. Even if you created the project, it won't be released right away, so you can prepare by fixing the contents before opening.
- Why you're starting a project and the maker's story
- Problems that a product or service solves
- Target amount and progress schedule
- Price and composition of rewards
- Production and delivery plans and required documents
STEP 2. Scheduled to open and start main funding
If you're done writing it, set a date and time that the maker wants to open the project. Wadiz can be opened without prior approval, and AI monitoring will be conducted after the release. Before this funding, you can run an open schedule that introduces the project in advance and collects notification applicants.

Scheduled to open
|
Main Funding
|
|
7 days minimum to 25 days maximum
|
7 days minimum to 60 days maximum
|
If it's your first funding, I recommend you to check customer reactions during the scheduled opening period, gather notification applicants, and start main funding.
STEP 3. End Project and Pay Supporters
If the target amount is achieved by the end of the project, the payment will be made by the supporters who participated in the funding. If you don't achieve it, the supporter's payment will be canceled, and the maker won't be charged a separate fee. That's why Wadiz Funding can reduce the burden and check the market response even if it's the first time.
STEP 4. Sesung Mountain
After the supporter payment is completed, you can get a portion of the funding settled first so that you can spend it on reward production. Depending on the project conditions, up to 80% of the funding will be selected, and the remaining amount excluding the fee will be finally settled after the reward is sent.
STEP 5. Produce and ship rewards
We produce the promised reward with the selected reward and send it to the supporters. Funding is an appointment with supporters, so we need to set a realistic production volume and sending date from the beginning. If the schedule changes, please let me know the reason and the change schedule quickly with the new news.
STEP 6. Final settlement
The final settlement will proceed when the reward is sent and the maker studio processes the completion of the shipment. The final settlement amount is the amount of the paid funding minus the service usage fee, selection fee, and refund amount. The exact amount and due date can be found in the settlement statement for each project.
Wadiz funding is not just a means of collecting production costs, it is a starting point for me to check the actual customer reactions before officially launching the product and ② to gather my brand's first fans.
