Hello. I am Yurim Park, a pen drawing artist who creates artwork with a ballpoint pen.
With just a single ballpoint pen, I repeatedly draw and layer lines, recreating familiar subjects from my own perspective.
This project began with the thought, **What if you could actually wear my pen drawing artwork, <The Ten Symbols of Longevity in the Sun and Moon Five Peaks Screen>, in everyday life?**
Beyond artwork that hangs on the wall, this is art that moves with our daily lives.
In this way, a single pen drawing has been reborn as Wearable Art.
The beauty of Korea, in a contemporary way.
This design incorporates images from the traditional Korean painting, the Sun and Moon Five Peaks Screen and the Ten Symbols of Longevity.
Instead of directly copying traditional motifs, I reinterpreted them as Morin's black-and-white drawings through delicately layered pen lines.
I also arranged various scenes from the artwork to continue along a long ribbon.
Depending on the position and direction when the ribbon is tied, different scenes from the pen drawing appear, giving the feeling of wearing a small piece of art.
Traditional, yet not looking like a traditional accessory.
This was the part I thought about the most.
While using Korean motifs, I wanted to create a design that would naturally be chosen even on ordinary days, not just as an accessory for hanbok.
That is why I focused the design on deep black and soft black-and-white pen drawing patterns.
The long ribbon blends naturally with modern clothing like shirts, dresses, and jackets, becoming a unique styling point.
A small logo ornament was added to capture the details of an art object based on the artwork.
The moment you tie your hair, you wear a piece of art.
Does art have to be hung on a wall to be considered artwork?
I hope the lines I have drawn over many years can enter someone's daily life, tying their hair, dressing up, and accompanying them as they go out.
A piece of pen art in everyday life.
The beauty of Korea in a modern way.
Through this project, Moring introduces its new Wearable Art, the <Ten Symbols of Longevity in the Sun and Moon Five Peaks> headband, for the first time.
The reason for launching this project on Wadiz.
This project is not just about selling a new hair accessory, but an attempt to showcase a new way for the artist's work to be used in daily life.
Your Funding will be used to expand various pen art pieces into fashion and lifestyle art objects.
