How to Design Planned Open/Bon Funding Schedule
The target amount of funding is not the amount you want to raise, but the amount you need to keep your promise with your supporters when you succeed in funding. Therefore, in order to produce the reward and complete the delivery, we need to calculate how much we need in advance and reflect it in the target amount.
The next important initial setting is the schedule. This schedule also has a big impact on funding success. In fact, when we analyzed the project performance, the results were greatly divided according to the scheduled opening and the main funding period. I will analyze the project completed from January 2025 to August 2026 and share a guide for the target amount and schedule design.
You'll find out when you read this
- If you set the target high, how will the result change

The target amount is
It's not the amount I want to achieve
Some people think funding will be better if the target amount is high, but the data is the opposite.

When comparing the proportion of projects that collected more than 10 million won for each target section, the target amount for projects that achieved more than 10 million won was less than 1 million won. If the target amount is set low, the achievement rate increases, so supporters are more likely to perceive it as a successful project. So high achievement rate → supporter interest → actual participation → increasing achievement cycle can continue to create new inflows and payments.
But there's a risk. What if I have to produce rewards and run projects with the amount I've raised in funding, but because of the high achievement rate, I'm successful in funding for much less than I need? You can lose money by not producing the rewards that should be sent to the supporters on time.
The target amount can be set from a minimum of 500,000 won to a maximum of 100 million won, and it can be modified until the end of the opening schedule, so it's better to calculate it carefully and set it at the amount that suits my situation.
Expected opening period: 14-21 days
The scheduled opening period is the period when the project is released in advance and a notification application is received before the main funding. Depending on the period of operation of the scheduled opening, the number of notification applications and the probability of successful funding of more than 10 million won were clearly divided.

When I looked at the 10,000 projects that were scheduled to open, the most projects were scheduled to open for 14 to 21 days. At this time, the largest number of supporters gathered to record about 870 notification applications and more than 40% of the project achievement rate.
Recommendation period for this funding: 8-21 days
This funding period means the period from the actual funding opening date to the end date after the scheduled opening date.

In fact, projects that were carried out for 8 to 21 days were the most, with 67% of the total, and the success rate was also the highest, with 77 to 79%. Wouldn't the success rate be higher if we open it for a long time? You might think that, but looking at the actual data, it wasn't. So, when you set the opening schedule to be around 2-3 weeks and the main funding to be around 1-3 weeks, you can maximize the funding performance the most.
3 Open Types Viewed By Funding Period
It is a schedule in which the opening schedule is fixed at two weeks (14 days) and the main funding period is divided into one, two, and three weeks. (D-day is an open day!)

- A plan is the shortest and most compact, so it is advantageous for products that can make an impact on a specific season.
- Plan B is a section selected by 39% of the total, and it is a period that makers preparing for the first funding can easily try.
- C plan is the highest section with 29% of the proportion of more than 10 million won, and you can maximize project performance along with various promotional methods such as advertising and booster coupons.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What are the risks of lowering the target amount?
A. According to the data, the proportion of the low target amount section was higher than 10 million won. The section with less than 1 million won is 23.1%, which is more than twice as high as the section with 10 to 30 million won (11.1%). However, please note that the number of achievement rates that supporters see on the project page increases.
Q. How can I change the target amount?
A. You can modify it at the maker studio before the scheduled opening is over. When the opening schedule ends, the modification is blocked. The set range is from 500,000 won to 100 million won.
Q. Doesn't it gather more if you open it for a long time?
A. Not in the data. After the 22nd, the success rate went down to 61.9%. However, please also note that projects that selected a long period of time often set a high target amount and skipped the opening schedule.
Q. What should I prepare before the opening?
A. It's an AI review before submitting and submitting the screening documents. The issuance period of documents is different for each item, so it's better to start first. Details can be found in the required documents for each item and how to proceed with the AI review.
