Wadiz First Funding Wiki | 8-Step Roadmap from Setup to Launch
Updated: September 17, 2026
From the opening of Wadiz's first funding to the opening
Step 8 Preparation Process Organization
When preparing for the first funding, the most frustrating thing is 'What should I start with?' rather than 'How should I write a story?' To prepare for funding, open a project → select a type → check the production/document → target amount and schedule → reward → story → open preparation → open scheduled operation. You can divide it into eight stages. You don't have to start after preparing everything perfectly. Create a project at Maker Studio, then follow this guide to fill in the items one by one!

Chapter 1. Create a project and check the type and document
STEP 1. I'm not ready yet, can I create a project?
Yes. Even if the product and story are not completed, you can make the project first. The creation of the project does not immediately reveal it to supporters. You can check and fix the information you need before disclosure, so look at the input items of the maker studio first. At first, there are five below, but you can roughly decide. If you check this entry first, you'll start to see the photos, documents, and phrases that you'll be preparing in the future.
- Who is the project for?
- What products, services, and activities will be provided?
- Which type is funding or preorder?
- What is the minimum cost required for production?
- When do you want to start Bon Funding?
✅ Create a project now
STEP 2. Which should I choose, funding or preorder?
The type of project depends on the sales history of the product and the value it will provide.
- Funding is a way to first introduce a new product or service and raise funds needed to produce it. It's important to show your supporters new values and production possibilities.
- Preorder is a way to introduce products that are already manufactured and distributed with Wadiz's own special benefits. We need to check the preorder conditions such as domestic exclusive, special composition, and limited edition.
Check out the type of my project in advance because if you choose the wrong type, you may have to re-prepare the required paperwork and story content!
STEP 3. Do I really need the finished product and business license?
We can also prepare funding at the idea or prototype stage, and we can also proceed with private makers depending on the type of project. We can open the funding by proving that we can actually create and deliver rewards, so please prepare the following materials to show this point. The required documents to be prepared depend on the maker type, project type, production method and product category, so check the required documents for my project in the required documents for project progress first!
- Current state of development of prototypes, samples, or products
- Direct production, consignment production, distribution, etc
- Minimum production volume and estimated production period
- Packaging and delivery methods
- Certification, reporting, and test data by product category
Chapter 2. Target amount, rewards, and story design
STEP 4. How do I set the target amount and schedule?
The target amount should be set not as the desired sales, but as the minimum amount that the project can actually be executed. If you excessively lower the target amount to quickly increase the achievement rate, you may run out of production costs after success.
Minimum target amount = production cost + packaging cost + shipping cost + fees and all expenses + reserve - funds already secured
When scheduling a project, it's better to consider all of the following periods.
- Story, image, document preparation
- Operations scheduled to open
- Proceeding with the main fund
- Payment and selected calculation
- Manufacturing, inspection, packaging, and delivery
It is recommended that the main funding be set from a minimum of 7 days to a maximum of 25 days, the main funding is set from a minimum of 7 days to a maximum of 60 days, and the main funding is set to be held for 14 to 21 days, and the main funding is recommended for 8 to 21 days. If it's your first project, take your time and schedule it so that you don't have to overdo production and promotion! Please check the guide for details on the target amount and schedule setting.
STEP 5. How many rewards should I make?
Rewards are the determining factors of funding sales, so it is important to meet the following two factors. In particular, if you want to achieve more than 10 million won, it is good to design a reward considering these two factors. At first, design based on the three roles below.
- Configuring 6 to 8 Options
- Composition of over 150,000 won high-priced rewards
It's okay if there's only one product. Early bird design and various set and package option designs enable reward configuration to boost sales. Find out more about this in our first funding rewards design guide! There is an Excel file attached that can benchmark the reward composition of the success project in 5 minutes, so I recommend you to use it.
STEP 6. What should I write in the story?
The story is similar to the detailed page of a regular shopping mall, but in funding, not only product information but also the story of the maker is important. This is because even if you are less aware of the brand or product, you can sympathize with the maker's story, and if you want to cheer, Wadiz supporters have faith and participate in funding. When analyzing Wadiz success funding, there was a four-stage story flow that many projects used. Take a look at this in our detailed page guide and create an attractive detailed page!
Don't worry if it's difficult to write a story. I'm also sharing the WAi prompt that I can copy and write right away so that I can write a story with WAi.
Chapter 3. Scheduled to open
STEP 7. Do I need to get a review or approval before opening?
Wadiz can open the project by setting a date and time that the maker wants without a pre-approval process. However, AI monitoring will be conducted after the opening, and if necessary, you can be asked to revise the information or submit additional data.
Before opening, you can check the story in advance with AI screening. After the final inspection, please book the opening date and time at the maker studio. It's hard to change the schedule after the opening schedule is released, so we need to check the main funding start and end dates together!
STEP 8. Can I promote it after the main funding starts?
Rather than looking for customers only after the main funding starts, it's better to attract interested customers from the scheduled opening. By testing the core message of the project at this time and reflecting customer questions in the story, we can boost performance much faster during this funding period.
It's even more icing on the cake because if I run an open schedule where I can find potential customers for my project in advance and proceed with the advertisement together, I can also inform new customers outside of Wadiz about my project. If you follow the guide, you can set the advertisement quickly. Knowledge of advertising is essential if you run a brand, so start with a Wadiz ad that creates better efficiency based on existing Wadiz supporter data!
3 things to start today
If you try to prepare all the materials at once, the first step seems more difficult. Let's do the 3 things below first today!
- Create a project in the Maker Studio
- Decide the type of funding/preider,
- Enter target amount, product category
Just filling in these three pieces of information makes it much easier to proceed with the next action. First funding starts with a viable plan, not a perfect page! Don't think about it too hard and try to make successful funding by going through it step by step.
