Connecting the supporters' concerns with payment
How to register rewards
"Can't we just use the name of the reward?"
The reward name, description, and image are the points that convince makers who are hesitant to participate in this project, 'This reward has these advantages and benefits, so we need to fund it right away!' The more you use copies that your supporters can relate to and find attractive, the higher your payment conversion rate will be. Let's take a look at the registration method that connects supporter's hesitation to payment based on data.

Step 1. Pricing Rewards
Step 1. Set the price per reward
When you set the reward price, you have to look at the two together.
- First, cost-based price
- It is a method of calculating the cost of producing the product and delivering it to the supporter and setting the price. You have to consider not only the production cost, but also the packaging cost, shipping cost, and commission.
- Second, value-based price
- It's a way to consider the convenience, experience, design, and scarcity that supporters get through their products.
You don't necessarily have to lower the price significantly because the cost is low. If the value of the product is high, please set an appropriate price range because too low prices may not fully show the value of the product and brand.
Step 2. Creating a 'Low-Cost-Main-Expensive' price ladder
If you make all the rewards at a similar price, the supporters don't have enough reason to choose the higher amount. Rewards can be divided into roles as follows.
- Low-cost rewards: Composition for supporters who want to experience the product lightly
- Main (key) Rewards: Key configurations that you want the most supporters to choose from
- Expensive Rewards: Composition for supporters who want to use several together or share them with family members or acquaintances
Projects that raised more than 10 million won generated the most sales in the price range of 70,000 to 150,000 won. However, the appropriate price range may vary depending on the product and category, so please check the specific criteria for my category in the reward composition criteria viewed as data.
If the price of a single product is low, you can combine several to create a high-priced reward. At this time, you should not just increase the quantity, but also show the reason for purchasing several.
Maker's TIP! In the success project, an average reward of OO won was booked!
| Category | Average Rewards Payment Reservation Amount (based on 25.01 to 25.03) |
|---|---|
| Beauty | an average of 130,000 won |
| Home Living | The average is around 120,000 won |
| fashion miscellaneous goods | The average is around 130,000 won |
| Tech and home appliances | The average is in the mid 130,000 won range |
| Food | an average of 100,000 won |
*It varies depending on the attractiveness and composition of the product.
Step 2. Register Rewards
① How to create a reward name
The reward name is the most important information for supporters to remember the reward, and it is effective if you write it according to the formula below.
- [Early Bird Badge] + [Brand/Product Name] + [Composition]
- [Early Bird Badge] + [Set (Package) or Product Name] + [Product Name] + [Composition]
Please use regular and accurate reward names so that you can find the rewards you read in the story at a glance.
- Please write a consistent rule so that each reward can be easily distinguished.
- If you give a unique name depending on the situation, duration, and capacity when configuring the set, the supporters can remember it longer.
- Attaching an early bird badge will increase your attention, but don't use the [Super Early Bird] benefit name before the reward name. The name of the reward is not well revealed due to overlapping information.

What are the ➡️ rewards options and how do I set them up?
⑤ How to set the limit quantity
The limited quantity is the total number of available sales for that reward, and if all of that quantity is funded, supporters can no longer choose the reward.
Please make a careful decision when setting it up for the first time because it cannot be changed after disclosure.
- Please carefully check whether it is possible to provide it within the promised period and whether it is the right quantity for each benefit.
- If you set too much quantity, the remaining inventory will be exposed to a large amount, which may seem unpopular.
⑥ Set Shipping Conditions
- If it's a reward that needs to be delivered, please make sure to check 'delivery' on the delivery status.
- If I don't check, I can't verify the address of the supporter, and I can't ship the rewards.
- 0 won for free shippingPlease enter the , otherwise enter a separate amount.
- If supporters fund multiple rewards together at the same time, only one reward shipping fee (ex. 3,000 won) will be charged like bundled shipping.
Do you need additional shipping costs depending on the quantity or region?
- Please add a 'shipping fee reward' so that we can choose additional shipping fee with the main reward.
- It can reduce the hassle of having to individually guide all supporters who incur additional costs before delivery.
Please consider the shipping cost between islands and mountains in advance!
➡️ Shortcut to design guide for shipping costs between islands and mountains
- Please check in advance if it is possible to ship to the island mountainous area (e.g., Jeju Island, etc.).
- If additional shipping costs are incurred depending on the region, please make sure to add a 'delivery fee reward'.
In this case, like this! Contextual Rewards Design TIP
Situation 1) Is the maker's reward just one type, a single product?
Create a set by adding ✔️ related products.
- Rewards configurations with fewer options can seem a little boring.
- Create a special set reward that adds products related to the reward.
- You can add a product that is the most confident of the maker's existing products and is related to the main reward as a sub reward.
✔️ Create a 'large capacity set' consisting of several single items.
- Show me the price per reward and highlight the reward set option that gets cheaper as you gather.
- Supporters can also find friends to participate with to fund attractive rewards at a low price.
- It's also a good idea to design an additional gift to be included in the set composition.
| [Example] |
![]() |
Please organize your rewards with ✔️ related products and services.
- If the rewards are too different and are not related to each other, the consistency and attractiveness of the story will inevitably decrease.
- A story with multiple themes is needed, and a story that is too long makes the supporter leave.
- Organize the advantages and values of each reward so that it can be connected and delivered in one message. Rewards composition requires choice and concentration.
Situation 3) Are consumables included in the maker's reward?
Configure ✔️ accessories as additional rewards.
- From a supporter's point of view, you don't have to purchase additional consumables later, and you can even benefit from funding, so you can feel it's a practical option.
- From the maker's point of view, it's a good way for the average funding amount to go up.

Situation 4) Is Rewards Consumable?
Please let me know how long you will use ✔️.
- It's good to write '3 month pack' and '10 day package' in the reward name or reward description.
- Supporters can understand exactly how much rewards are available.
- In addition, it can give you the feeling of funding a period to use rewards together, not just multiple.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. How many rewards are appropriate?
A. The average number of rewards for successful projects over 10 million won is 6 to 8. Even if there is only one representative product, you can make more than six by using early bird, package, and set composition. What is more important than the number itself is whether low-cost and high-priced rewards are placed like ladders, centering on core rewards (7,000 won to 150,000 won).
Q. What is the appropriate percentage of early bird discounts?
A. Based on successful projects, the discount rate for each stage is 42% early bird, 44% super early bird, and 46% ultra early bird. The difference is not as big as 2-4%p. Rather than just giving a big discount in the previous step, I recommend adding one more component or making a "reason to pay now" by placing a "first-come, first-served N" quantity limit.
Q. I only have one representative product, can I make various rewards?
A. Yes, it's possible. You can make stairs (1/2/4/8) in terms of quantity for consumables that are quickly exhausted (food, cosmetics, etc.), and you can make 6-8 rewards with one product by dividing them into early bird stages (ultra/super/early bird) for high-priced single products (electronic devices, lifting devices, etc.).
