Wadiz Funding Launch Guide for Local Brands That Thrive and Grow Together with Their Communities
Updated: September 22, 2026
Wadiz Market for Regional-Based Manufacturers and How to Lower Inventory Burden
It's helpful for people like this
- A maker who made good local products and products but has no contact point to show outside the region
- Maker hesitates to enter online because it is difficult to determine the yield and production volume in advance
- Local brand planners who want to convey value with our local stories, not with the lowest price competition in the open market
Wadiz Funding is an online market for local-based makers to meet national supporters. The newly introduced product can check the market response with funding, and the product already on sale can be pre-ordered for a limited season or nationwide delivery. You can check the demand first and make a production, harvesting, and shipment plan based on the amount of payment completed, thereby lowering the inventory burden.
- A project to showcase rewards made of locally produced and collected raw materials (special products, raw materials, etc.)
- A project that presents rewards produced and produced by producers (makers) located in the region
- projects that solve local problems or contribute to co-prosperity with local communities
If you're a local-based brand preparing to open a project for these three, try opening a new market with Wadiz Funding!
a wall that a local maker hits
Local-based makers' concerns start not with quality, but with 'customers to meet'. This is because contact points with customers are easy to be trapped in local markets, local events, and introductions to acquaintances. Even if I try to go online, it's burdensome to set the yield and production volume in advance.
It's not easy to survive the lowest price competition even if you put it on the open market with difficulty. It is important to find a place where you can meet customers, supporters, who examine and acknowledge the value and story of our brands and products, not just brand awareness or lowest prices.
Synergy between Wadiz and local brands
Wadiz releases these three walls in different ways.

a local maker in the spotlight of national supporters
Even the products already famous in the region may be new brands that have yet to be discovered by customers across the country. In Wadiz, the name of the region, the story of the producer, and the long tradition are the reasons that attract customers' attention.

Ongwa in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, presented "King Sung-ah" as a preorder, which was selected by more than 100 peach farmers in South Sangju. Among the numerous peaches, 630 supporters participated in the speciality of picking out only the top 1% grown to 500g or more, and about 38 million won was raised. After checking the quantity to receive the order first, we harvested peaches and sent them one by one from the day after the project was closed. This is an example of how seasonal agricultural products with short harvest times can also meet customers across the country.

Woowa Marinated Crab in Gwangju is a local restaurant that has been around for more than 70 years since 1953. We started a preorder by making crab marinated with 1,000 crabs sold a day to customers visiting the store as Chuseok gifts. Hundreds of people from all over the country participated in the project after the start of the project, as it was possible to receive the taste of the region that could have been tasted only by visiting Gwangju in person. The long-established offline trust led to a new online market.

Oksanbaek is a brand that makes white jade jewelry with jade craftsmen who have only a few minutes left in Korea. Introducing disappearing traditional crafts as jewelry that can still be used today, more than 4,000 customers applied for notifications before the project even opened. It has shown that local culture and artisan stories can be a strong reason to promote products.
Peaches, marinated crab, and white jade jewelry are completely different products. However, there is something in common that good products and stories that have stayed in the region have been discovered by new customers across the country through Wadiz Funding and Producers. The region is not a limitation of sales, but a success story that shows that it can be a special story that makes customers remember their brands!
[Finding my side through funding] Fees for local makers
Wadiz is running a Find My Side campaign with funding to support the locally based maker.
As part of the campaign, manufacturers who live in areas other than Seoul, Gyeonggi, and metropolitan cities (Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, and Ulsan) or prepare projects in the categories of medium food (direct delivery, local restaurant, traditional liquor) and travel (domestic travel, activity) based on their business sites will benefit from ① introducing rewards made from raw materials produced and collected in the area, or ② opening projects that contribute to regional problem solving and coexistence.
Don't miss out as you can get 50% off service fee (12%) (until December 31, 2026)!
frequently asked questions
Q. Can I start even if there is no finished product or stock?
A. If it's a new product, you can check the market reaction through funding. By making a production and harvest plan based on the amount of payment completed, you can lower the burden of accumulating inventory first.
Q. Can processed foods or crafts be used instead of agricultural and fishery products?
A. Yes, processed foods like marinated crab were pre-ordered, and craft brands like white jade jewelry were funded to open the project. You can challenge yourself in various categories, but you need to check the licensing, evidence, and examination requirements for each item in advance.
Q. Are there any local maker benefits?
A. Until December 31, 2026, the business place and residence of the business operator can benefit from ① introducing rewards made from raw materials produced and collected in the relevant region, or ② projects that contribute to regional problem solving and co-prosperity.
Q. It's fresh food, how do I ship it?
A. It's a structure that ships after the project is finished, so you can keep it fresh by sending it sequentially right after harvest. Resident King Soonga also sent it sequentially every day from the day after the deadline.
