4 Things Makers Should Do to Achieve Success in a Special Exhibition
Special Exhibition Preparation Checklist
It's the same exhibition, but the results are different,
I organized it into four things
Take this with you!
- Make sure that the reward price before the opening of the special exhibition consists of at least three sections of low, middle, and high school.
- Booster coupons have the highest usage rate when designed with an effective discount rate of 8% or more.
- The closer the project opening date and the planned exhibition entry date are within 3 days, the greater the synergy of the top exposure.

The Wadiz Special Exhibition is a place where you can meet more supporters than usual and make sales. Even among projects participating in the same exhibition, the difference in results is wide. Most of the difference is made by how closely we prepared before opening.
This checklist summarizes four common preparation elements for projects that have recently performed well in various exhibitions. It's very helpful to look through it before applying for the exhibition and right before the opening.
1. Rewards Price Composition — Low, Medium, and High 3-Section Design
In the exhibition, the payment amount is higher in the high unit price reward section than in the low unit price. As long as the low unit price rewards are prepared, supporters only buy the low unit price and leave the page. In order to increase the unit price of payment, you need to have a product that can go up.
| Check Items | Why do you need it |
| ☐ Rewards 3 sections or more for low, middle and high schools | We need a price ladder so that supporters can raise the payment amount |
| ☐ Prepare at least one high price reward | The form of set, bulk, and premium options is free. It's the key to making sales |
| ☐ Early Bird/Limited Rewards Open Initial Deployment | It's a device that converts payments at a time when there's a lot of people coming in |
| ☐ (encore) Add 1 new reward and configuration | The previous supporter needs to make a reason to buy again before the repurchase occurs |
If you are new to reward design, refer to the reward design guide article first.
2. Booster Coupon Design — 'Design' Makes Results Rather Than 'Issuance'
Booster coupons are the most powerful devices to make sales at the exhibition. In particular, projects exposed to accounts exclusively for booster coupons at the exhibition had 2.3 times higher conversion rates compared to the average of the exhibition. This is because supporters who have gone through this account are not just looking around, but people who have already seen the benefits and moved. The ticket to this seat is a well-designed booster coupon.
| Check Items | Why do you need it |
| ☐ Designed with an effective discount rate of 8% or higher | Effective discount rate = Discount amount ÷ Minimum payment amount × 100. Coupons that adhere to this standard are 3.5 times higher in usage |
| ☐ Set minimum payment to reward price | The lowest reward price is 50,000 won, but you can't use it if the coupon is "more than 80,000 won." Reflect on the price of early bird as well |
Use it differently for each stage of funding

|
How to use it |
|
Before the opening (To be opened) |
The sales made by notification applicants are 56% of the total. Make a reason for applying for notification with "coupons that can be used immediately after opening if you apply for notification." If you combine it with the first-come, first-served and limited quantity, the effect is stronger |
|
Right after the opening (First 3 days) |
72 hours after opening determines the initial ranking. Advance your payment time with a coupon for "72 hours only after opening." If you combine it with the fan meeting event, it's also advantageous for exposure |
|
Before closing (D-7~D-2) |
It's time for supporters who already know the project to think about buying it or not. "D-3, 72 hours limited" Please pull the delayed payment with the same closing-time coupon |
You can find out more about the effective discount rate calculation method and the recommended amount for each section in the How to reach the top of the exhibition without booster coupons and advertisements.
3. Open Timing — Match the entry and opening dates of the exhibition
Sales are not made just by participating in the exhibition. It is a structure in which a special exhibition empowers a project with open fire power. Even if assigned to the same exhibition, projects that have been open for a long time are pushed out of the top exposure account, and sessions don't reach the page well. On the contrary, projects that are close to open and special exhibitions have a significant sales jump due to the combination of top allocation and open firepower.
Another important point is to secure notification applications before opening. Sales made by notification applicants account for more than half of the total sales of the exhibition, and payment must occur immediately after opening, which is advantageous for subsequent exposure and ranking.
| Check Items | Why do you need it |
| ☐ Open date - Close to the exhibition entry date within 3 days | It can maximize the synergy of the top exposure |
| ☐ Open preparation rhythm from 3 to 4 weeks ago | Prepare to open → secure notification application → Apply for special exhibition → Plan ahead in order of opening |
| ☐ New project adjusts open D-day to near open day of planned exhibition | You can secure the top allocation and open fire |
| ☐ Securing maximum notification applications before opening | Right after the opening, the firepower continues to the next exposure |
| ☐ (if more than two weeks after the opening) Booster Coupon Redesignated and Rewards Options Added | Please create a new reason for your visit on the page by issuing a coupon for the deadline |

I need more time to prepare. I recommend you go through the checklist from the beginning again |
The planning exhibition is not about creating sales for projects, but about raising sales for well-prepared projects. These four preparations are not big tasks such as detailed page completion, but things that makers can adjust themselves before participating in the exhibition. If you prepare them closely one by one, the results will definitely change.
5. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. When should I check the checklist?
A. I recommend you to check it twice before applying for the exhibition and right before the opening. Before applying, check the reward composition and opening timing, and the booster coupon design right before opening.
Q. Where and how can I issue booster coupons?
A. You can issue booster coupons through the Advertising Center > [issuing coupons].
* You can find out how to issue it in the guide.
Q. Where can I get a closer look at the booster coupon design?
A. How to reach the top of the exhibition without a booster coupon or advertisement You can check the effective discount rate calculation method and the recommended amount for each section in the article.
Q. Will it be helpful to participate in the planning exhibition even if the project is already open for a long time?
A. Yes, but the top exposure effect may be smaller than the new and recent open projects. In this case, it's helpful to focus on updates tailored to the exhibition period, such as redesigning booster coupons or adding rewards options.
