What is wadiz’s “launching soon” phase?
The “Launching Soon” phase is the period before the main funding campaign when you can showcase your project and collect sign-ups for notifications. No payments are processed during this time. Instead of a [Fund Now] button, you’ll see a [Sign Up for Notifications] button.
For supporters, signing up for notifications is a commitment with almost no obligation
Simply put, signing up for a notification is like saying, “Please let me know when this project launches .” You don’t need to enter payment information, and it’s not a binding commitment. That’s why it’s much easier to click than the “Funding” button. This simple click leads to a notification that will inform you about your project on the first day of the launch.
SMS and KakaoTalk notifications are automatically sent at the launch time
The moment the main funding campaign launches, SMS and KakaoTalk notifications are sent to those who signed up for alerts. You, the maker, don’t have to send them separately. The KakaoTalk notification includes a link to the project, encouraging supporters who receive the alert to make a payment quickly right after the launch. This is the most important reason why signing up for alerts is directly linked to a successful funding campaign!
Want to share additional updates with subscribers as the project launches soon?
Try using“News” updates! When you publish a News update, you can send app push notifications and email alerts to supporters who have subscribed to notifications, those who have signed a Pledge of support, and those who have bookmarked your project. Share behind-the-scenes stories about your project, as shown below, to let supporters know why they should engage in funding. You may also want to refer to the guide on writing News updates for each stage of your project.

Launching Soon Process
Starting April 13, 2026, wadiz’s project launch process has changed. Instead of waiting for a pre-screening, you can now launch your project on the date of your choice once you’ve finished preparing it, so you can also launch your “Launching Soon” project during your desired timeframe. The overall process is as follows.
| Order | Step | What to Do at This Stage |
|
1
|
Project Creation Complete | Create the Story, Rewards, and funding goal |
|
2
|
Finalize the schedule | Launching Soon: Determine start and duration, as well as the start and end dates for the main funding campaign |
|
3
|
Launch | Launch it yourself on the date of your choice. No approval wait. |
| 4 | Launching Soon Period (14–21 days recommended) | Show a preview of your project and collect sign-ups for launch notifications. AI monitoring* begins at this time. |
| 5 | Funding Launch | SMS and AlimTalk notifications are sent, and payments become available. |
| 6 | Project End | Monitor the project until it ends, and perform a final check before settlement |
*AI monitoring is not a process that makers need to apply for separately. It runs automatically from the moment the project goes live until it ends. (Key monitoring checkpoints: false advertising, false patents/certifications, brand impersonation, duplicate sales on external platforms)
Recommended “Launching Soon” Period
The “Launching Soon” period can be set by the maker. wadiz recommends a duration of 14 to 21 days. An analysis of 20,000 projects that ran their “Launching Soon” phase from January 2025 to August 2026 showed that projects with a “Launching Soon” duration of 8–13 days had a success rate of only 7% in reaching 10 million won in funding, whereas projects with a duration of 14–21 days had a success rate of 40%—nearly three times higher.
Since the success rate tends to drop again when the period before launching soon is longer than 21 days, unless there’s a specific reason to keep it particularly short, set 14–21 days as the default and schedule your notification sign-up events and News updates within that timeframe.
You cannot change the schedule after it’s been published
Once the launching soon phase is made public, neither the date the launching soon phase ends, the start date of the main funding campaign, nor the end date can be modified. Therefore, we recommend carefully planning how you will manage the entire funding campaign before finalizing the schedule.
Rewards options can be changed before the campaign goes live
You can edit rewards until the main funding campaign opens. Once the main funding campaign is open, you can only add new options; for existing rewards, you can only change the title and description. Therefore, it’s best to make good use of the period before launching to refine your rewards to appeal to supporters.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Where can I see how many notification sign-ups I’ve received?
A. You can view the daily trend of notification sign-ups in Maker Studio. It’s pretty much the only performance metric you can check before the launch.
Q. Can I send text messages directly to people who have signed up for notifications?
A. No. During the period before the funding campaign is launched, the only way to reach those who have signed up for notifications is through News. SMS and KakaoTalk notifications sent when the main funding campaign opens are sent automatically.
Q. Can I share the page that will be launched soon with friends or on social media?
A. Yes, you can. There’s a share button on the page. Since 12.0% of all sign-ups occur within the first 24 hours, be sure to share the link on social media and with your contacts starting on the day the page goes live.
Q. Can I skip the “launching soon” phase and start the main funding campaign right away?
A. Yes, you can. Among projects launched between January 2025 and August 2026, 4.3% began without being announced as launching soon. However, there is a difference in average funding amount and success rate. You can see this difference in performance between projects that conducted a launching soon phase and those that did not.
