Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung, www.wadiz.io ) said 22 companies that participated in the "2026 Gyeonggi Climate Tech Crowdfunding Support Project" recorded about 200 million won in funding and about 4,000 supporters. Wadiz supported funding preparation to promotion and operation, helping participating companies introduce their products to the market more easily and quickly and check consumer reactions.
The project first started last year with the Gyeonggi Small and Medium Venture Business Administration and Seongnam Industrial Promotion Agency, and the Yongin Industrial Promotion Agency newly joined this year. Wadiz supported funding training, detailed page production, customized advertising, exhibition exposure, and coupon issuance to reduce the burden of online content production and marketing preparation for participating companies.
More than 120 climate tech and social venture companies applied for the support project, and the final 22 companies were selected in consideration of product innovation and business feasibility. Participating companies introduced various products in the beauty, tech, and living sectors through the Wadiz exhibition "Global Life" and confirmed marketability through supporters' responses.
The beauty brand "Olgo" first introduced a solid shampoo bar made of pine cones at Wadiz, which was abandoned at a pine nut farm in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi Province, achieving 690% of its target amount. With patent-based raw material technology, forest by-products were revived as scalp care raw materials, and bleaching-free recycled paper packaging was applied to highly concentrated solid formulations with reduced water. It is vegan certified and can be used without plastic containers.
"Today's People Co., Ltd." introduced an AI schedule management device called "The Butler" that can be used for a long time in place of the paper calendar that is replaced every year. It applied 90% recycled plastic to the external case and adopted an electronic ink display that uses power only when updating the screen. In its first Wadiz funding, it achieved a 793% achievement rate compared to the target amount.
"The purpose of this project is to help companies with good products not hesitate to enter the market due to difficulties in content production and marketing," said Choi Dong-cheol, CEO of Wadiz Impact. "We will continue to support climate tech and social venture companies to meet consumers more easily and quickly and use their funding experience as a springboard for their next challenge."
