Wadiz (CEO Shin Hye-sung, www.wadiz.kr ) will expand support for growth of local innovative companies by linking investment and policy funds following market verification through funding.
Wadiz Partners (CEO So Kang-seop), a subsidiary specializing in investment, will operate the "2026 Donghae Social Venture Scale-Up Round" to discover and foster promising social ventures in the East Sea region, and recruit 10 participating companies by October 5.
For companies that started in the region to continue to grow, they need not only good products and ideas, but also opportunities to advance their business strategies, meet with investors, and follow-up growth funds. The program focused on connecting from consulting to investment so that local companies have this foundation and can move to the next stage of growth.
For six weeks, selected companies will be provided with corporate diagnosis and ▲ business strategy ▲ market entry ▲ investment attraction ▲ law ▲ tax, etc., and help produce IR data. All selected companies will get an IR pitching opportunity at the Demo Day and will also be able to participate in networking with investors, distributors and experts in related fields.
In November, the Demo Day will pay a total of less than 5 million won to five outstanding companies. Wadiz Partners will invest more than 100 million won in equity investments in at least one of the participating companies and recommend the companies to "LIPS II," an entrepreneurial small business growth support program of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, to secure follow-up funds. This supports local discoveries to grow into sustainable companies and brands.
The target of recruitment is a social venture corporation with less than seven years of business history with its headquarters or main business sites in the East Sea of Pohang, Gyeongju, Yeongdeok, Uljin, and Ulleung. Even if you are not located in the area as of the application date, you can apply by submitting a "confirmation of relocation" if you plan to relocate your headquarters, branch offices, or major workplaces by the end of the program.
There are many companies with innovative ideas and growth potential that the market has yet to discover, said So Kang-seop, CEO of Wadiz Partners. "We will actively explore regional possibilities and connect investments and subsequent growth so that more local companies can become competitive in the market."
Applications for participation will be made until midnight on October 5, and more details will be available at the Wadiz Maker Center.
