Check 1. Check Rewards Configuration
If it's before the funding open, make a final check of the reward composition with the eyes of the supporters. After examining whether it is easy to choose a reward that suits me among many options and whether the difference in composition and benefits can be understood immediately only by name and image, the shortcomings can be supplemented by referring to [Data-based reward configuration example].
| Inspection Items | criteria for passage | Difference in achievement rate of more than 10 million won | |
|---|---|---|---|
| ① Number of rewards options | 6 or more reward options | Not more than 5 options 9% | 6+ options 16% |
| ② Early bird | 3 or more early bird options | No early bird 5% | Early bird 3~4 pcs 12% / 5 pcs or more 23% |
| ③ Expensive Rewards | at least one reward of 150,000 won or more | Expensive Rewards X 5% | Expensive Rewards O 24% |
① Rewards options are at least 6
The recruitment rate of more than 10 million won for projects with 4 to 5 rewards was 9%. For sections with six to seven rewards, this ratio increased significantly to 16%. It doesn't mean you have to force up to six similar rewards. Even for the same product, divide the composition according to who uses it and in what circumstances.
- First Supporters → Early Bird
- Supporters to use alone → Single item
- Supporters for use with family or acquaintances → 2·3 sets
- Supporters for richer configurations → Package with additional gifts
Rather than just increasing the number of rewards, it's important to make supporters choose the right composition for them.
② There are 3 or more early bird options
The project, which raised more than 10 million won, collected 40% of the total payment amount on the first day of opening and 53% within 3 days of opening. Since nearly half of the amount is already decided on the first day, it's a good idea to have enough early bird options to encourage supporters to participate quickly right after the opening.
The recruitment rate of more than 10 million won for projects with one early bird was 6%, almost the same as 5% for projects without early bird. On the other hand, 12.0% of the projects with three to four early birds and 23.0% of the projects with five or more early birds. Check the early bird configuration in the reward design method, which increases the probability of achieving 10 million won for discount width and step-by-step configuration method.
③ Rewards of 150,000 won or more will drive sales
Successful projects that achieved more than 10 million won from 2025 to 2026 generated the most sales in the range of 70,000 to 150,000 won, and together with the range of 150,000 to 300,000 won accounted for about 58% of the total sales. Of course, not all projects have to be at this price point. Use it as a criterion for checking whether there are easy options and options to increase unit prices according to product prices and categories. The number of reward configurations and price ranges for successful projects by category can be found in [Examples of Data-Based Rewards Configuration].
| Price range | Share of the number of payments | Share of sales |
| less than 30,000 won | 9.1% | 1.6% |
| 30,000 to 70,000 won | 32.8% | 12.7% |
| 70,000 won to 150,000 won | 34.1% | 27.2% |
| 150,000 to 300,000 won | 16.5% | 26.1% |
| 300,000 to 500,000 won | 4.3% | 12.4% |
| more than 500,000 won | 3.2% | 20.0% |
Check 2. Check Rewards name and representative image
Even if the reward structure is good, it's hard to choose if the supporter doesn't understand the difference right away. Just by looking at the name and image of the reward, it's good to see at a glance whether it's a single product or a set, how many are included, what discounts and benefits are, and who you recommend it to.
A. Check the name of the reward
- Can you understand the difference in quantity and composition right away?
- Will additional gifts or limited benefits be revealed?
- Aren't the names of the different rewards too similar?
- Didn't you use internal terms or difficult expressions?
Name Example
- [BEST] 2 sets of main products
- [Family] 3 main products + additional components
- [For gift] 2 main products + exclusive package
B. Check the representative image
Rewards images should be more of a configuration image that explains what you actually get, rather than just a picture that shows the product prettyly.
- Are all major rewards registered with representative images?
- Can you see the difference in quantity between single and set in the image?
- Did you just include the actual configuration?
- Can you even recognize the configuration on a small screen on your mobile?
For example, if it's a set of three, it's better to place all three and additional components together than to show one product in a big way.
Image Configuration Example
|
Rewards Type
|
What to show in the image
|
| A single item | 1 main product, color and size |
| Two sets | All 2 main products |
| Three sets | 3 main products and discounts |
| for a gift | main product and gift package |
| a benefit set | an original product and an additional gift |
| Digital Rewards | List of files, lectures, and templates provided |
Check 3. Compare to successful projects
Among the maker projects raised more than 10 million won, we selected three cases where the inspection items discussed earlier are clearly visible.
① Home Living | Lua Be Hotel Bedding

- 1,609 supporters participated
- 206,826,800 won achieved
It's a project that emphasizes hotel bedding in the 50,000 won range. Looking at the price alone, it might seem like a low-priced product, but I made all 11 rewards early bird and made 5 of them ultra early bird. We even got a high reward option of more than 150,000 won in a set of five. It's a good project to refer to if it's a category with a low single price.
| Number of rewards | Early bird | price range |
| Eleven | 11 (Ultra 5) | KRW 53,400 to KRW 225,500 |
② Food | One Paddy Everything Spy Seasoning

- 1,002 supporters participated
- KRW 69,970,300 achieved
It's a project prepared as a reward for spicy seasoning. This project consists of all nine rewards in early bird, and five of them in ultra early bird. The lowest price was set at 50,000 won, and the rewards were composed of 3 - 5 - 10 - 15 bundles to form medium and high-priced rewards. When organizing a bundle set with a single product like this, it is good to divide the steps into 'gift set' or 'N-month capacity'.
| Number of rewards | Early bird | price range |
| Nine | 9 (Ultra 5) | KRW 53,500 to KRW 241,000 |
If you've checked all the checklists, you're the last to be diagnosed
Enter the final reward configuration I created in the [Data-Based Rewards Configuration Example] file attached at the bottom of the article. Based on the success project data, we automatically diagnose the well-organized part and the part that needs to be supplemented. Check the checklist for what you haven't found, and check the rewards one last time before opening.
[Example Data-Based Rewards Configuration] Utilization
STEP 1. [Data-Based Configuration Example] Download Excel File and Select My Category |
※ An example of a data-driven reward configuration is a reference value calculated based on the project price distribution of the selected category and the list price entered. The reference value does not guarantee funding performance, and the maker will decide the final funding price by reflecting the cost, delivery cost, commission, and target margin.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Does it have to be at least 6 rewards?
A. No, it's not. More than six different reward configurations appeared in the success projects analyzed, but if it is difficult to divide the options due to the nature of the product, there is no need to force the number to increase. It's more important than the number of options that supporters want to choose.
Q. Can the reward image be the same as the representative image of the product?
A. It can be the same if it's a single product. However, for rewards with sets, packages, and additional components, it is recommended to use a separate image that can check the actual quantity received and the entire composition.
Q. Do I need to register images on all rewards?
A. It is recommended to register a representative image for options with a large difference in composition, such as core rewards, sets, and high-priced rewards.
