What is "News"? How to write a News update to share your story with supporters
Updated: September 7, 2026
From the scheduled opening to the end of the funding,
everything about writing new news
The disclosure of the project does not mean that supporters will continue to be interested in it. These days, there are so many things to see, even those who press the notification request and those who just steam forget the project after a few days. I need to talk to you again before the interest cools down, and make a reason to participate. The most obvious way to use it at this time is news.
The new news is the ability to send a free notification to supporters who have shown interest in my project. It's been confirmed to be effective as well. In the last 30 days, 45% of the supporters who received news notifications have come back to the project page. In this guide, we will introduce when, to whom, and what content you can send the new news.
You'll find out when you read this
- Criteria for judging which supporters to send news to
- How much news notification sends supporters back to the project
- How many days should I set the issuance interval and which section should not be empty
- How the maker, who posted 43 new news, talked about it
Wadiz, what's the news? a bulletin board to communicate with supporters

If the story (detailed page) is a guide to my project at a glance, the new news is a bulletin board where you can announce simple information such as what you haven't delivered in the story, updated news, and events. It's a letter to supporters who are interested in my project.
The new news can be written at the maker studio at any time you want after the project is released. And you can also send a notification that the news has written.
When you send a tip* notification, you can select the target

When writing new news, I can send a notification to 1) supporters who applied for notification during the scheduled opening, 2) supporters who participated in funding, 3) supporters who took care of my project, and 4) supporters who signed up to support my project. Of course, it's also possible to ship it to everyone. Tell a lot of people news about boosting sales, such as project openings, deadlines, and events!
For supporters who applied for notification, steamed, and signed support, but did not participate in the funding, it is good to share events and news on benefits that contain reasons to participate right now. It is also a good idea to inform supporters who have already participated in the funding of essential information such as payment/delivery guidance, or to share honest stories that will make supporters fans, such as project progress or maker stories.
Note Notifications will be sent via email and app push. Only emails to supporters who don't have the app or don't allow push notifications!
"Will supporters come back after posting a new news?"
"Yes, I'm back!"
I've been looking at the data to see the supporters who have come back to the project with the news in the last 30 days. When I saw the news notification, 45% of the supporters came back to the project and 4% of them participated in actual funding. This means that 45 out of 100 people will visit the project again to see the news, and four of them will even participate in actual funding. In fact, a high-value funding maker that succeeded in funding more than 10 million won posted new news every 2-3 days.

Curiosity during the scheduled opening period

The early news starts with the introduction of product sound, starting with a 10-year resignation and a new life in Nepal, the dawn of the Himalayas, "Why do I come into Nepal every time?" "Same singing ball, completely different reverberations," "What is true wellness?Like this, I told you a lot of personal stories about why I worked on this project. Supporters were able to naturally come across stories and sympathize with them as if they were subscribing to the maker's SNS or reading a book.
In the middle of the event, we also shared the progress of events and funding, such as the event for 20 people from the physical book, the news of the number one notification for the scheduled opening and all the classes, the announcement of the open D-1, the rumor, and the announcement of the 72-hour event, and the reason to participate quickly after the funding was opened.
Interesting news during this funding period
Yechan Maker alternated between three types of news during the main funding period.
First, I wrote thank you "I'm writing a handwritten letter to all supporters" and wrote new
news like "I'm writing a handwritten letter, I felt like this" on the same day.
Second, first-come, first-served event on Christmas Day, first-served 7 minutes, 5 aromatic oils, and 7 Nepalese backpacks
. Although the scale is small, we prepared gifts that supporters would want to continue to be interested in and participate in and held a relay event.
Third, inventory and delivery progress
We also quickly shared the progress of the project, such as "Let me share the inventory progress for a moment" and "Notice of Moksha size out of stock," and showed how much the maker is paying attention to this project.
The most popular news is
1) A relay event just before the deadline that gathered 43 comments, "I'll give you yoga pants for 48 hours, just 4 minutes."
2) "Thank you for the first day of the new year" uploaded on January 1, 2026 (32 comments)
3) It's a "reality book gift event" (20 comments) held during the scheduled opening period.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can I just post the news without sending a notification?
A. Yes, sending notifications is optional. You can use the method of posting without notifications when you want to leave information for reference after you've already sent them multiple notifications, or when you need to post multiple things in a short time.
Q. Is it really better to send the target separately?
A. If the nature of the news is different for each target, it's better to share it. Payment guidance is only necessary for those who have funded it. However, there is no confirmed data on how much fatigue is actually reduced when the targets are divided, so it is recommended to adjust while looking at the reception release rate together.
Q. Is it okay if I can't write a few news because the scheduled opening period is short?
A. Take the order rather than the number of cases. If there is an event that makes the reason for participation, a story that shows a product or maker, or an open D-1 announcement, the minimum configuration is made.
Q. Wouldn't supporters get bored if they split the same story multiple times and post it?
A. In Chapter 4, the opposite result came out. Comments were posted on the new news of the meeting, and the new news got the biggest response just before the deadline. However, it is difficult to generalize because it is an example of one project. When you split it, check if there is one new thing you know for each episode.
Q. I don't know what to write.
A. There are two main categories that can be used for new news. It's a maker and brand story that asks for action and gives you something to read. Examples of creation by type can be found in four maker and brand story contents.
Q. How do I write new news to increase the number of notification applications?
A. The median number of notification applications for projects that wrote 4 or more news during the scheduled opening period was 1,200, and 207 for projects that did not use any news. How to design event periods and benefit conditions is in the Notification Application Event Design Act.
