I am a designer who has been creating household and lifestyle products for 20 years. 

Earlier this year, I took a short trip to Japan to recover myself. Instead of rushing through famous tourist spots, it was a quiet journey where I slowly experienced local spaces around my accommodation.

At a Japanese bathhouse I happened to visit, I experienced deep comfort and recovery.

A hot sauna,
Cold water,
And a quiet time to sit and rest.

It was a simple routine, but I could feel my body relax and my thoughts quiet down.

What I discovered there for the first time was the sauna hat.

At first, I wondered why everyone was wearing hats in the sauna. I found out that sauna hats protect the head and face from the intense heat and help you enjoy the sauna more comfortably.

What was especially impressive was that it was not just about simple functionality.

When you wear the hat deeply, your field of vision naturally narrows, and even in a public sauna, you gain your own small space. I could care less about my surroundings and focus more on my body's sensations and relaxation.

I felt that this hat was not just a sauna accessory, but a small tool that deepens the time of recovery.

That is why I decided to prepare the sauna hat project to introduce a new culture.
