Western Mood

Inspired by the clothing of cowboys and pioneers from the American Westward Expansion era.
A rugged and free-spirited fashion style inspired by this era.

We reinterpret the Western Mood, which has blended into everyday life, in a modern way.

Maintaining the identity of Western Mood [Almond Toe]!

Chukka design that can be matched with various styles!

There are several techniques for making handmade shoes.

The most common technique is the cement method. Most shoes in Korea use the cement method. This technique attaches the upper and outsole with adhesive, making it specialized for mass production by saving time. Currently, more than 90% of handmade shoes use the cement method.

However, we use the Goodyear Welt method, which is a higher-level technique than the cement method.

The method we commonly encounter is the 'cement method,' which bonds the upper and outsole with glue, but the 'Goodyear Welt method' fills cork between the insole and outsole and stitches them together with strong thread instead of adhesive. Traditionally, the 'Goodyear Welt method' is the technique chosen for premium shoes.

The Goodyear Welt method is a shoe-making technique developed in 1879 by Charles Goodyear Jr. in the United States. In short, it connects the upper, insole, and outsole by stitching them together.

The calluses on the hands of artisans who stitch thick leather by hand speak to the dedication and quality of the shoes!

Because the thick leather, welt, and outsole are stitched together one by one with thread, the shoes are highly durable and can be worn for a long time. In addition, they can be crafted into a three-dimensional shoe shape.

Cork is inserted under the insole, which boasts the strong feature of molding to the shape of your foot the more you wear it.

While the 'cement method' has five steps, the 'Goodyear Welt method' has more than ten steps, making the manual process quite demanding and complex.

It is a highly demanding process that involves stitching with an awl-like needle and then stitching again with a welt machine. The outsole is finished with sharp, fast-rotating equipment.

The process is complex and risky, so it may be very slow. However, we take pride in the fact that only true masters among Korean shoemakers can use this method.

Q. How do I choose the size?

A. Sizes are available in increments of 5, from 245 to 280.

For men's sizes, it is recommended to choose one size smaller than your sneaker size (such as Nike, etc.).
(Sneakers 270 --> Choose 265)
Also, the size is the same as well-known maker dress shoes or domestic handmade shoes. (Dress shoes 270 --> Choose 270)

# If your sneaker and dress shoe sizes are the same, we recommend choosing your dress shoe size.

Q. Is exchange or return possible?

A. After receiving the Reward from Wadiz, size exchanges are possible if requested within 7 days.
Also, refunds due to product defects or quality issues are possible if requested within 7 days. (However, packages and gifts must be preserved in their original condition, and external wear or excessive creasing is not allowed.)

# We comply with the Electronic Commerce Act.

# Due to the nature of natural leather, minor pores in the leather are not defects but a natural phenomenon.

Q. How do I wash (care for) them?

A. Since it is made of 100% natural cowhide, we recommend brushing off dust or dirt with a clean brush and using shoe wax (cream).
If they get wet in the rain, dry them in the shade and stuff them with something like newspaper to remove moisture.

Tip. When using shoe cream, rubbing hard with a sponge may cause smudging or color transfer, especially on alcohol-brushed or patina-finished shoes. It is best to gently wipe as if dusting.

#For suede, it is best to remove dust with a brush or shoe brush and arrange the nap.

Q. Is A/S available?

A. General A/S is free of charge within one year after receiving the Reward (such as loose stitching, general adhesive issues). However, consumables and sole replacement will incur a fee.
(You can apply through the official Brenowelt website.)
