In Ulsan, there are stories left behind by people thousands of years ago.
People who hunted whales.
Animals of the land.
Ships that sailed the sea.
I want to experience those ancient stories
in a slightly differentย way.

A coaster featuring the Bangudae Petroglyphs of Ulsan.
Bringing ancient stories closer to everyday life.

Hello,Maker 'Sleujeok Museum'.
Cultural heritage found in museums is wonderful,
but in daily life, there are not many chances to recall them.
Sleujeok Museum aims not just to observe cultural heritage,
but to create items that allow you to naturally encounter it again in your daily life.
That is what we want to achieve.
The very first step isA coaster embracing the cultural heritage of Ulsan. There are two types of products.

Bangudae Petroglyphs Coaster
Discovered at the Bangudae Petroglyphs in Ulsan,
The images of whales, people, and animals are captured within a single circle.
With a warm texture,solid wood,
and stone that evokes the rocks of the petroglyphs, stone.
Ancient drawings are expressed through two different materials.

In an ordinary moment of drinking a cup of coffee,in everyday life, even then,
the story of the Bangudae Petroglyphs naturally accompanies you.

Even when not in use, even then,
as a small object, Naturally together.

One coaster, two ways to use it.
A coaster for drinks. Or use it as,
When not in use,
Appreciate the appearance of petroglyphs.A small interior object. It can be used as such.

But,
What are these drawings?
Ulsan Bangudae Petroglyphs.
On the rock, various animals including whales, and people,
Scenes reminiscent of hunting and fishing are engraved.
Not just simple drawings,
They show what people saw and how
they lived, making us imagine their lives long ago.

The first thing that catches the eye isthe whale.
So, on the coaster, the whale is placed at the center, and around it
People, land animals, and boats. They were arranged naturally.

WOOD
The lines of the petroglyphs were carved directly onto the wood grain.
Through laser engraving, traces are left on the wood itself.
It is crafted so that the marks remain.
Therefore, depending on the wood grain,
the expression of each product varies slightly.
Our goal was to bring cultural heritage into our daily lives.

STONE
The idea began with the fact that the Bangudae Petroglyphs remain on rocks.
We captured the cultural heritage as it is,
and chose stone with a natural rocky texture.

The very beginning of this idea
was the 2026 Ulsan Tourism Souvenir Contest.
We proposed a product that brings the Bangudae Petroglyphs into everyday life,
and received an encouragement award.
And instead of stopping at the award,
we wanted to develop it into a product that someone could actually choose.

The first product we made
The pattern was attached to the surface in the style of petroglyphs.
However, it was not suitable for continuous use as an actual product.
It did not meet the level of perfection I wanted.
"Let's not end it with this unsatisfying result,
but remake it into a product that can truly be sold."
So, with this thought, I started again.

From the pattern and size to the position,
engraving intensity, and even the material.
Because there were so many trials and errors and new experiences, there was a lot I lacked and did not know.
But I wanted to see it through to the end, and the one I chose from Ulsan,Bangudae Petroglyphs,
would become a coaster that fully embodies this cultural heritage.
I adjusted each part again, one by one.

And I wanted to see if an idea conceived by an individual
could actually become a real product.
And for that very first step,,
I want to take it together with you on Wadiz.
I wanted to show you my first creation in person.
Which coaster would you choose?

As a memory of visiting Ulsan, memory,
For those who love cultural heritage,
For those looking for an extraordinary small gift.
Give the story of the Bangudae Petroglyphs as a gift.

Use a unique and fresh coaster in your daily life,
and display it.
Try displaying it

Hello. We are the makers of these coasters,Maker.
This product was not originally createdWith the intention of being sold.
While considering tourism souvenirs utilizing the cultural heritage of Ulsan,
We wanted to create an item that could bring the Bangudae Petroglyphs into daily life.
That is how the idea began.
The first product we made in this way received an award in a competition,
Which was a great opportunity.
However, as much as I was happy, I also felt some regret.
Even without the title of 'award-winning work',
would people really want to have it?
I wanted to confidently answer that question.
This Funding is not just about selling a finished product,
but about seeing if my small idea can actually become part of someone's daily life.
This is a way to check if it can be continued,my first challenge, and my first attempt.
Cultural heritage is not something difficult or distant,
but something that can naturally come to mind even in the brief moment you set down your cup.
I hope it will come to mind naturally.

A story from 7,000 years ago,
and my very first storyโplease join me.
