Bluelucky's Maejakgwa is made from a recipe passed down in our family, with my grandfather preparing the dough and my grandmother shaping and cooking the cookies. In the Jeolla region, Maejakgwa is called 'Yakgwa.' The memories of them making it for the whole family and sending it to our homes by courier remain a vivid fragrance for us.

Although it tasted wonderful, it was so difficult and complicated to make that, over time, even our family rarely got to enjoy it. We tried setting alarms for online sales and touring famous shops, but with the recent trend of Yakgwa classes, the taste has become standardized and none truly satisfied our palate.

So we always said, "We really need to inherit our Maejakgwa recipe and start a business," but life kept us busy and we never acted on it. Then, at the end of last year, my grandfather passed away.

Perhaps it was because, as finite beings, we felt we must continue in infinite ways.

With a united decision, our whole family went down to Buan to learn from our grandmother, and after six months of research and development, we perfected it.
